ReplyDeleteNess County law enforcement is investigating a case involving a woman who had not left the bathroom of her boyfriend's home for two years.
ReplyDeleteA few weeks ago, the woman's boyfriend called the sheriff's office and "said something was wrong with his girlfriend," said Ness County Sheriff Bryan Whipple.
Officers went to the man's home and found the woman, who is in her 30s, sitting on the toilet. Whipple said she was not bound or tied to the toilet in any way and that the boyfriend said she had refused to come out of the bathroom for approximately two years.
The boyfriend reported that he took food and water to the woman during that time.
Police have tried to interview the woman, who is now in the hospital, but she has refused to speak about what happened, Whipple said.
Whipple declined to comment further as the investigation is ongoing.
